The COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Action CA21143 Transnational Family Dynamics in Europe (TraFaDy) is a four-year project (2023-27), funded by the European Commission and led by Odisee University of Applied Sciences. The project brings together an interdisciplinary group of 40 researchers from 19 European countries (Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom), Australia and Brazil. TraFaDy aims to deepen the knowledge of the growing, rapidly changing phenomenon and dynamics of transnational families (TNF) by bringing together researchers and stakeholders from different disciplines and countries to address the need for transnational insights and to formulate policy and practice-oriented recommendations with an impact on international, national, sub-local and local practices. It closely monitors current trends in migration, technology and politics, and engages in an intensive dialogue with policy and practitioners.
